UKC Ch. Roustabout's Best Of Minnesota

Higgins goes back to one of our first black champion bitches,
Ch. Tapestry's Mourning Glory, aka Page. We bred Page to
Ch. Lacie's Basic Black, who produced a very cute, typey black bitch, Pride N Denmore Jersie Hill Tale, aka Susannah. Because of a tail docking accident, this bitch did not obtain her championship. We gave her to our good friend and my cousin, Lois Kistner, of Jersie Hill Cockers. Lois bred her to Jersie Hill's Pantagraph, aka Jimmy J, who was also the sire of our very first bred champion. The Jimmy J and Susannah breeding produced a black champion bitch, Ch. Wibs Tales of the Darkside, who is now owned by Lois Kistner. This bitch was bred to Ch. Peri's Wib's Magic Step, aka Jefferson. This cross produced a buff bitch Wibs A Tale of Beauty, aka Bonita, who is now owned by my dear friend, Robin Otten. With our advice, Robin purchased and bred Bonita to a dog that we finished and later sold to a breeder in Wisconsin. This dog is Ch. Krismyth's Sterling Character, aka Kegger. The Bonita and Kegger breeding produced UKC Ch. Roustabout's Best Of Minnesota, aka Higgins. We chose the Best of Minnesota part of Higgins name because most of his bloodlines, such as Beaujolais, Darkhaven, Gazon, and Krismyth come out of Minnesota. When looking at Higgins, he brings back the memory of a dog I once had the priviledge of going over. This dog was Ch. Krismyth's Command Performance. Even though this dog is a great-grandsire of Higgins, it is remarkable to me just how much this puppy looks like Command Performance. Higgins is the very last breeding to the infamous Ch. Krismyth's Sterling Character. It is my belief that Higgins is the best puppy that Kegger has ever produced. It is with much pleasure that I look forward to campaigning Higgins towards his Brazilian, Canadian, International, Mexican, and American Championships. I feel that the Cocker Spaniel fancy deserves the right to see such a magnificent specimen. Thank You Robin for doing this breeding for me!
